At Steinepreis Paganin we support community giving and have a number of ways in which we do this and encourage our team to do this.
Formed in 2012 the SPCF is a result of the strong desire of the Partners and employees of the firm to give back to the local community. The SPCF is managed by an employee based advisory committee and is overseen by the SPCF trust directors. Through the SPCF we provide financial support to local charities and charitable initiatives (such as dollar for dollar donation matching and lump sum donations for specific projects).
Our focus through the SPCF is to:
Support Steinepreis Paganin Partners and employees to raise funds individually or as a group;
Deliver long-term benefits and build community sustainability;
Support a broad community need; and
Deliver a substantial portion of the funds donated to the people or cause involved.
Over the last 13+ years, we have support a number of charities and events through these initiatives, and we are always on the lookout for new opportunities to support our local community so that we can continue this engagement with community giving into the future.
In 2018 the firm made a commitment to offer staff one additional optional paid day per year to take part in SPCF lead team volunteering opportunities to encourage social responsibility and provide team building opportunities. [Note that these days do not accrue and are in relation to SPCF lead activities].
Steinepreis Paganin are very proud to be one of the founding Firms that established and support the Bilya Boorn Scholarship.
The Bilya Boorn Scholarship was established in 2024 and is a joint initiative of a number of major WA commercial law firms providing scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to study law at a Western Australian university.
In addition to the SPCF supporting a number of worthy local causes, the Firm is also actively involved in supporting sporting endeavours such as the Perth Thundersticks (Hockey), the North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club and many others.
