James graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a Bachelor of Laws in 2017 having completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Western Australia in 2015. James commenced employment as a Law Graduate with Steinepreis Paganin in February 2018.  James was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in November 2018 and was appointed as an Senior Associate on 1 January 2023.

Since joining the firm James has worked with clients providing corporate and commercial advice, including advice in relation to Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules compliance, IPOs, reverse takeovers, spin outs, M&A, and company meetings. James also has experience overseeing due diligence investigations and preparing prospectuses for capital raisings.
