Background and Experience
Roger graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence (1984) and Bachelor of Laws (1985) and has over 25 years experience as a corporate and resources lawyer. He is the Managing Partner of the firm and has been in this role since the firm commenced in 1997.
He has acted as the legal adviser on in excess of 40 initial public offers and has advised numerous companies, large and small, on strategic acquisitions, whether by takeover, scheme of arrangement, trade sale or other means.
He has a particular interest in energy and resources law and continues to act for a number of listed and unlisted entities in this field.

Peter graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance). He has also completed a Masters of Applied Finance and Investment with FINSIA (formerly the Securities Institute of Australia).
Following graduation from UWA, Peter commenced employment at Jackson McDonald and later joined Steinepreis Paganin in January 2000.
Peter was appointed a Partner at Steinepreis Paganin on 1 July 2005.
Peter has a wide range of experience in all forms of mergers and acquisitions (including takeovers and schemes of arrangement) and has also advised on numerous successful IPOs and back door listings on ASX. In addition, Peter specialises in corporate reconstructions and recapitalisations of listed entities, acting as principal or alternatively an adviser to the transaction. Peter’s other core areas of practice include energy and resources, capital markets, corporate and strategic advice, securities law, commercial law and contract law.
Peter is non-executive director of NSL Consolidated Ltd (listed on ASX) and chairman of PTO Consolidated Ltd and Discovery Resources Limited.

Toby graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business (Management) and in 2001 with a Bachelor of Laws that included study at the University of Notre Dame Law School in the United States. In June 2003 Toby completed a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice and was made a Chartered Secretary in November 2006.
Toby joined Steinepreis Paganin in October 2004 and was appointed a Partner on 1 July 2012.
Toby acts for a variety of clients, including a number of ASX listed entities. Toby has experience in guiding clients through various transactional matters including initial public offerings and secondary capital raisings, asset acquisitions and disposals, mergers by both takeover and scheme of arrangement, and corporate reconstructions. Toby also has advised many clients in relation to the preparation and conduct of public company meetings.

Andrew graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1997 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (Jurisprudence). Andrew acted as Environmental Advisor at Santos Ltd before commencing work as an energy and resources lawyer at Freehills in 2003.
Andrew joined Steinepreis Paganin as an Associate in October 2007 and was appointed as a Senior Associate in January 2011.
Andrew has a wide range of experience in mergers and acquisitions and energy and resources matters. Rhys then returned to Perth and commenced employment with Steinepreis Paganin as an Articled Clerk in October 2005 and was admitted as a solicitor in Western Australia in November 2006.
Rhys was appointed as an Associate in December 2009 and was appointed as a Senior Associate in April 2011.
Rhys has a wide range of experience in general corporate and commercial matters including capital raisings, spinoffs and demergers, mergers and acquisitions (including schemes of arrangement), due diligence investigations and compliance issues. Rhys also has experience in the drafting of numerous mining and resources documents including joint venture agreements, acquisition and disposal of mining assets, royalty agreement and independent solicitor’s reports. Simon joined Steinepreis Paganin as an Associate in March 2013. Prior to commencing with Steinepreis Paganin Simon worked with international law firms in London on corporate and reconstruction matters and as an in-house advisor on legal and governance matters for World Vision in Melbourne and Geneva.
Simon has experience in general corporate advisory and banking and finance work including acquisition and disposal of companies, incorporation and reconstruction of corporate bodies, general corporate and company law agreements and shareholder agreements.

Cameron is admitted to legal practice in Western Australia, New South Wales and Australian Federal Courts. He was articled to the Perth based law firm Lavan Legal in 2006 and gained a range of experience, predominantly in corporate commercial law with exposure to corporate litigation.
His core competencies consist of corporate law, ASIC and ASX compliance, advising listed and unlisted business structures, equity capital markets, company meetings, board and shareholder disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial drafting.
In addition to his experience in private practice, Cameron worked for several years in ASX Listings, initially in the Perth home branch and subsequently as a Senior Adviser based in ASX’s Sydney office. That experience is coupled with post graduate qualifications from Kaplan and CSA.
Cameron further specialises in the energy and resources sector and gained specialist expertise in hard rock mining and JORC Code compliance during his tenure at the ASX, before joining Steinepreis Paganin in October 2012.
